Research Interests and Projects

Systems biology modeling: developing structured quantitative metrics for construction and comparison of alternative models for given biological systems.

Tissue imaging mass spectrometry: evaluating several data reduction methods currently used, such as principal components analysis, and developing new algorithms for detecting subtle spatial and morphological patterns among the spectra.

Endoscopy-associated device design: developing a device to be used with standard endoscopy equipment to view quantum dot-stained tissue.
